Govt. P.G. College Sector organized Mega Job Festival -2017.

Govt. P.G. College Sector -01 Panchkula today organized  Mega Job Festival -2017. Total 893 students from all government colleges of five districts of Ambala Division participated in it. Additional DGP Administration and Commissioner of Panchkula Dr. R. C. Mishra was the chief guest and inaugurated the fest formally with ribbon cutting ceremony.
In this annual job festival final year  graduate and post graduate  students from all the govt. colleges of Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and Kaithal appeared for interviews. A total 25 companies from various fields came to recruit students.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Dr. Mishra in his address to the students emphasised the significance of good job at appropriate time. Police commissioner also talked about the important role of educational institutes for providing jobs to the students. He said if students starts getting job before passing out the final year of academics than the ratings of those institutes can be improved. Principal Dr. Archana Mishra said that qualitative education automatically leads towards the opportunities of employment for the students in consequently students can get jobs in short periods after passing out from college. In the end she wished good luck to the students for their career.
                                                                                                                                                                                                           In this job fest various companies from Banking, IT Sector, Finance, Accounts etc. grilled the students. Prof. Naveen Jangra, Department of Mass Communication and in-charge of this Job Festival said that college administration has put all its efforts to make this festival successful. For last 15 days college has been providing special career and placement guidance to the students. Corporate were involved in organizing workshops and training sessions for students to inculcate soft skills, presentation skills, resume writing and group discussions required to qualify an interview. These sessions were organized at district level. A total of 625 students from all four colleges participated form all govt. colleges of Panchkula districts. Likewise, sector 1 college arranged for the same training in Ambala cantt. Govt. college so that students can learn every minute aspects to appear in interview with confidence.
                                                                                                                                                                                                              The college was full of colourful posters of companies. Students were seen enthusiastic to participate. Special identity cards were issued to the participated students. Stationary kits and lunch was facilitated to the students in association with department of higher education, Haryana.
                                                                                                                                                                                                              In the end Prof. Naveen Jangra also informed that such kind of mega job festival has never been organized before. It was a great opportunity  in which all sort of trainings and facilities were provided to the students without putting any financial burden on them.
